These brief notes are intended to help you get the most out of this ADC2 set. To play this set you need ADC2 version 2.10 or higher. This set was designed for a screen resolution of 1024X768.

If you have any questions or comments, or if you find any errors or omissions in this set, please contact me and I will respond as quickly as possible (usually within 24 hours).

1. Map and Counters

No offense to the fine folks at Paper Wars, but this was one butt-ugly game. The map was done in neon colours, while the counters were dull, fuzzy and difficult to read. In fact, the reason I did this set was to see if I could improve on the appearance.

That said, the units and terrain should be easily recognizable to anyone owning the original game. I changed the colour of the Commonwealth units from blue to tan, and I added background colours to the unit-type boxes. Air units have a standard NATO air symbol, while naval units have ship icons.

The biggest change is that I created pieces for each step of every combat unit - there are no step markers. Flipping a unit reduces its strength by one. For example, a 3-4 infantry unit flips to a 2-4, which flips to a 1-4, which flips back to a 3-4.

2. The .OPS Files

I included two .OPS files: one has all units in force pools, ready to be deployed, the other has the starting units set-up on the map within the limits of the set-up rules.

I think that's it. I hope you enjoy the game, and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or problems.

Pat
